Norman Petty joined The Meet Group and is General Counsel and leads the company in issues of trust and safety. Â
He spent the last 25 years as VP and Lead Attorney at The Wall Street Journal Digital Network and simultaneously as SVP and General Counsel at Dow Jones. Â
Norman will lead the panel at this, the first Trust & Safety Connect event. Â
Neil has been an innovator in television and digital media since 1981. He worked as SVP of AOL from 1995-2001 and originally joined MyLife (then Reunion.com) in 2005.Â
Now Neil is leading business development and partnerships for RealMe, into the dating and social community space. RealMe helps people be safer when socializing online. Dating and social companies can validate their userbase, enable users to view background profiles and have safer interactions.
In 2018 Kathryn started Garbo.io, a tech nonprofit startup on a mission to help proactively prevent gender-based violence in the digital age.
Kathryn is an entrepreneur and activist, who works with venture-backed startups to help them launch and scale. She finds passion in connecting people with purpose, and also currently advises Visor (data collaboration), Apteo (buyer behavior), Celerative (hiring remote tech).
Steve has spent the last 11 years serving the House of Representatives District 16 created HB249 which is a bill which passed in Feb 2021 that will let people in Utah vet potential dates with cheaper online access to public records. Â
He has also spent the last 35 years in marketing and heads his own marketing firm which provides a marketing, advertising, and public relations services.
Mark runs the agency-consultancy Courtland Brooks which is focused on serving strategy, marketing and business development services to Internet dating companies and online social communities.
He supports the dating and online social community industries by heading IDEAÂ &Â OSCA, hosting LTR, and publishing the news summary services Online Personals Watch, and Very Social Network.
Mark is an HBS grad and recently completed an Exec. MSc in Behavioral Science at London School of Economics.
